New Installation
Let us help you start the process of installing a worry-free irrigation system. For over a decade now, Franco Irrigation Systems has been installing irrigation system in and around Central KY. We are committed to installing an irrigation system that will help protect your lawn and landscaping investment. Our irrigation systems are installed using a “trenchless method” and we install top of the line Hunter Industries irrigation products.
When starting the designing process of an irrigation system, we always like to make it a point to meet with all our potential customers to discuss their needs and expectations. Our irrigation systems are designed to relieve our customers of everyday task of manually having to water. We can customize any irrigation with simply upgrading the irrigation timer. If you’d like to be able to monitor and control your irrigation system from anywhere via a smart device, we have the capability of doing this. Spring Start-Up
The process of the spring start-up is a very important part of maintaining a properly working irrigation system. The process begins with the water being turned back on and the system is carefully gone through, zone by zone. During this process each irrigation head is visibly examined to insure it performing as designed. The irrigation timer is gone through to ensure the proper programming is set and all dates and times are correct.
The cost of this service is generally based on how many irrigation zones you have, and that price has 1 hour of labor included. Any repairs of equipment will be at an additional cost.

Winterization
The winterization process of an irrigation system is very vital to ensure your system is properly shut down for the cold winter months. We suggest letting a professional irrigation contractor perform this process.
During this process we shut off the water supply and then connect our large air compressors up to your system. With the water shut off, we then charge your entire irrigation system with the proper volume and air pressure. Each zone is manually opened to allow the remaining water in the irrigation lines to be blown out of the lines. By doing this to each zone, it ensures that the water is no longer in the system and the chance of damage occurring due to freezing temps is no longer a threat.
The cost of this service is generally based on how many irrigation zones you have, and that price has 1 hour of labor included. Any repairs of equipment will be at an additional cost.

Back Flow Preventer Testing
A back flow preventer is required by the state of Kentucky on all irrigation systems. The back flow preventer is a device that protects our drinking water from any possible contaminates that could occur. This device is required to be tested annually by most of the water purveyors or companies in Central KY. Most water companies will send the owner a letter which will include a test form. The water company will generally give the customer a couple months’ notice to have their device tested and the test form completed and returned to them.
Here at Franco Irrigation Systems we are licensed, certified and recognized by the water companies in the state of Kentucky to perform these tests.
Generally, the cost to perform the test is $85.00 to $100.00 range per back flow device. If you would like for us to test your back flow preventer device or you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at Info@Francoirrigation.com

Drainage and Trenching
Here at Franco Irrigation Systems we do offer additional service other than irrigation. On the occasion, we do install drainage for gutter downspouts as well as collection basins for water runoff. We also have the capability of opening almost any size trench.
